Default Projector headlights and HID

I have a blue 1994 ford ranger. I am wanting to do a projector headlight and 8000k HID conversion. does anyone know if i have to have a special set of projector headlights, and a low cost (under $200) HID kit?

i got my hids off ebay for $160. and i love them. about the projector housings though. my buddy did exactly what you talking about with the projector housings and it seems to "splatter" the light more than my oem housings and 6000k hids, which are actually the brightest bulbs.

There are plenty of available resources for you to get quality HID kits... but then again, plug and play / quality is all reletive. If you want the best results from your hard earned dollar, I personally would go to retrofitsource.com and get some proper TSX or Audi projector housings and install them inside your ebay lights. It costs substantially more but the end result is something to be admired.

I have a set of projectors that are top quality. These include bulbs and ballasts - these are OEM audi parts, brand new. 250$ if your interested.
