Default Air Bag Code "98" Ranger

"98" Ranger 3.0L Manual trans.
Bought it used with airbag blinking.

Have you checked the Pass Air Bag Deactivation (PAD) Switch? I know that light blinks when there is a PAD switch

I just inherited my fathers 02 ranger and the airbag light is on and wont go off even when I turn on or off the PAD switch

I finally got time to check it out and under the passenger side seat was the wire that went to the seat belt I unplugged it and plugged it back in and the light is now off! you may have to clean yours with something (WD-40)!
