compression test? Bubbles in radiator while running? Just pull your plugs and look at them, Black and sooty means too much gas, Oil fouled is possible ring damage, tan or brown is running good too much tan or brown buildup is old plugs, black and wet and smelling like gas is flooded (way too much gas). You can also look at the tailpipe again black is rich, tan or light grey is runnin good. When you replace your plugs start them in the holes by hand. Don't use a ratchet or anything until you have at least a turn or two you don't want to take a chance of cross threading a plug cause it could bugger the thread in the head and thats #@%$ big bucks.
