Yep. I have 98 4x4 and have a 7.5 open diff =( I know super disappointment..
I want the 8.8 rear..

What's your gear ratio OB269? I have an 8.8 with 3.27's if you're interested.

I was pointing out that not only the FX4's came with the 8.8, as in my quotes. Yes, I do have the 4.0, yes, I do have the towing package. So obviously I'm going to have it lol

I'm at 3.73 now, but she's a 3.slow with 31s so if I dropped to 3.27 it would be a 3.stop..
I would love the 8.8 with l/s though..

Find a junkyard rear with axle codes R5, R6, or R7

Probably your best chance is to find a R6
