nah man, get it up on some ramps outside, and prewash with the pressurewasher. definitly good to have access to a lift though, makes painting & cleaning much easyer once you've got most of the mud off.

that's basicallly how i cleaned the undercarrage of my buick back when i first got it

I have mud caked an inch deep at minimum in spots under there.
