Default 1990 Ford Ranger manual trans shift lever loose.

I have a 1990 ford ranger that has a loose shift lever. 2.3L 5spd. I was told theres a teflon ball like thing connected to the bottom of the lever and it fell apart but dont know real name of the part and can find the part some where. any help?? thank you very much!!!

get a shifter repair kit on ebay, i just did this yesterday, stick was all sloppy, now its tighter then a nuns cunt
