To answer how to fix this. I haven't yet. It still drives and works, just sometimes 2nd is a little difficult. I plan on taking the shifter out and bending the shaft just enough to clear what it is hitting. Or you can cut out some of the metal under the floor board where the shifter connects to the trans. Haven't figured out what I'm gonna do about the cupholder situation yet, but it is in there and still does what it is designed to do.

Pretty much I've only had hands-on on one stock shifter BL truck. What I did was move the cupholder combo back about an inch, and re-drilled the mounting holes with self tappers. Solved all the stock placement issues, and doesn't look bad at all. And yes, we used the PA extender.

But, to solve all issues, I vote HURST. I also vote making your own extension for the hurst. 'Cause you can make that ball be exactly where you want it. My extension is 3.5" up, 1.5" back, 1/4" over toward the driver. Took all of 15 minues with a grinder, cut off wheels, sanding discs, a drill, and some 1/4" plate.

That is a great solutions. I thought about doing that, but I wasn't sure about drilling into my floorboard like that. Thanks for the tip.

HECK NO. lol. That junk, even tho easy, is somewhat time consuming and time is something I really don't have much free of these days. But hey, if someone wanted one made, you never know unless you ask.....

Here's a quick pic...

Believe this is 2.5" up, 1 1/8" back, 1/4" to the left(by mounting to driverside of hurst)

Found some more pics with different brackets...

Pretty much you can make them however you want. But if under 2 3/4" height change, you're kind of stuck to a minimum of 1 1/8" because of interference of the Hurst stub the bracket will bolt to.

The one I made for my 1" BL... but pictured after the 3" went on. lol.

PS: I had the hurst before I had any lift. You can see above the cut up rubber bootie that doesn't need cut up on a BL'd truck.
