Default 3.0 cats????

I have a 200 3.o ranger and it's getting up there on miles. 147000. I want to replace the cats but Napa quoted me a price north of 800 for the setup. What are you guys using for aftermarket cats???

Yeah I agree, I would just cut them off. I have a 2001 Ford Ranger Edge 3.0 I just cut mine out and straight piped it to a 40 series flow master 3in inlet and dual 23/4in outlet with turn downs, it sounds good.

Did you lose any power when you did that? That's what I wanted to do to my 4.0 but the muffler guy told me that was bad because I would lose all my backpressure and having to mess with all those sensors in the exhaust. Maybe it's different in a 3.0.

Anyways dude it's your truck so you can decide what you want to do with it! Keep us posted on your decision.
