Default Door leaks in rain

Anyone been troubled with rain leaks related to the doors on your Ranger? (Outside of the issue that after when it rains, and I open the driver's door, a large glop or water suddenly drops right onto the driver's seat... something wrong with the rain gutter/door seals or lack of gutter in the design). After a significant rain ended yesterday, I found my driver's seat belt was soaked... didn't see any obvious reason why.

I have a 2007 SuperCab, with the wing doors. There is the possibility that the rear wing door was not as fully latched as it could be, though this was not apparent. These doors tend to be a nuisance, as without a healthy slam, they can be not fully latched, and when you turn a corner suddenly the "door ajar" (and the interior light) comes on, then goes out again when you straighten out. Just wondering if there has been any issue with the door seals that Ford uses for the main doors or the "back" door?

The bottom latches on my rear doors are frozen open, which causes the "DOOR AJAR" light to come on when I'm in the woods, pressing against the inside of the door, or going around a right hand turn. That happen at all to you? If not, it might just be the weatherstripping... Check for tears in it or if it sags at all if you put pressure on it... Also, check that it didn't pull away from the metal. That'll be your best bet there. A possible solution to it----Rubber cement or silicone. If there's a leak, coat it up with some clear silicone or rubber cement. That'll repel the water down the gutter and stop it from getting through the stripping if it's torn... Hope this helps!

Start with the seals, buy some seal adhesive and re-glue them on. I have seen some seals shrink due to heat, sun etc, so that may be the issue.

Will check on door ajar issue next rain session... drain holes are OK. Oh for the "old days" when vehicles had actual rain gutters! They served a purpose.
