I have a 2004 Ranger Edge with 3 liter V-6., has 128K+miles. I Had an independent replace the heater core about a year ago. They broke the heater control valve & replaced it with a will fit. It is leaking. I bought a new one today @ Ford ( #1L5Z-18495-AB ). I see the flow direction arrow on the leaking one had the arrow point out, toward the radiator, rather than controlling the flow going into the core. Is that correct ? Doesn't that create pressure on the core by using the heater core to stop flow rather that at the inlet side of the valve. Have it apart--Help. tomrob1@cox.net
