How can I find out which axle I have - Ford Ranger Forum

Hey everyone,
I have a 2006 Ford Ranger Sport Supercab with a 3.0l engine and 5 speed manual.

I bought the truck used, and I'm not sure which axle I have. I read online that there is a 3.73 and a 4.1 for that year, and that there's a LSD option. How can I determine what I have exactly without taking it apart?

look at the tag on the pumpkin it will tell you what you need to know
