So, I got a rock thrown through my rear window and Im thinkin of just replacing it myself. Would this be a horrible idea or should i just fork out the money to get an auto shop to do it?

I would have a talk with your insurance company and have them pay for it. Thats probably your best bet. I'm pretty sure that the rear windows are pretty expensive
