I bought new winter ice tires for my 08 ranger 245/75R-16. they were a $100 cheaper each than the original 255/70R-16. they are a little narrower which gives them more pressure on the ground and less floatation and within 1% of diameter. I had them mounted on steel rims which whould save the aluminum rims from salt from winter driving. they where only $45. ea. I put on a complete set of 4.

tire prices vary with size. the most common may be 235/75-16 (at $100 cheaper each). as the tire size for the 08 FX4 ranger is 255/70-R16 may be a fairly new size, they may not be as common.

go to Miata.net for tire size calculation. find common tire sizes that work for your vehicle ( plus saving money).
