Default clockspring

I have a clockspring problem in a1996 ford rangerwithout cruise can anybody tell me how to correct this and where to purchase another @ a less expensive place than ford

You may be able to get one at your local autoparts store.

no I have already tried with no luck they say it is dealer item,check with dealer they would have to order it. The cost would be 179.00 but I was looking for place to puchase over the net at a much better price

I have a 96 also, and I want to add cruise (my truck is 100% wired for the CC)... anybody knows if a 98 would work on my 96????
