Default Hey one more thing

Curious how difficult of a job a timing belt is on my 93 4cyl. Anyone done this before?

i just did the timing belt on mine and its fairly easy. you just have to make sure that you line up the marks exactly or it wont start. that is the problem im having with mine right now. everything is lined up but it wont turn over(start). it just cranks and sounds like its not getting any fuel.

if it didn't break, before you want to put one on, just make sure you don't move anything as you put the new one on. if it did break, there is a hole in the back of the timing cover that you put a 1/8 drill ,or something equivilant, and line up the cam gear's hole with the drill bit. then you sent the crank gear up with the timing mark. that will put everything in time.then set the tension belt pulley. also,if the belt broke, make sure you blow any fragments of belt out of the bottom, where the belt goes on. i've seen it where if you don't,the fragments will make it jump time. hope this helps.ron.
