Default 1990 Ford Ranger with fiberglass bed/box

Hi All,
I need to find out how to mount a Gemtop camper shell to the fiberglass body on my 1990 Ford Ranger. The fiberglass bed/body is a factory option. I do not know if there are steel or aluminum reinforcing plates at the corners of the box which would make it easy to mount the camper shell to the body. I am afraid to use an adhesive, because all adhesives do not last forever. I would hate to see a thousand dollar camper top fly in the wind to get run over by a semi-trailer. I would deeply appreciate any advice anyone could give.
Thank You,
Fred.
