WeldRanger Junior Member Join Date: Aug 2010 Location: Alderson, WV Posts: 9	Drivr Train, Rear & 4X4 Transfer Case Hi, I get right to the question. I have a 1988 Ranger XLT 2.9L 5speed Manual 4X4. I swap out the rear end (a 3.73) for one out of a1988 Ranger XLT Auto 4X4 (witch was a 4.10) now before I swap out the front to match I’m wondering about gas mileage with the 4.10 rear. I think the 4.10 rear is harder on gas. Any suggestions would be appreciated, thanks. Last edited by WeldRanger; 09-26-2010 at 02:15 PM.
