88dangerranger Junior Member Join Date: Jul 2011 Location: wellsburg wv Posts: 5	hey my name is scott i am new on here i also have a 1988 ford ranger i have the stock motor in mine with 31x10.50 r15 under it. My buddy has the same truck with 37 in tires on his and when he put the bigger tires he still has the same tranny but he put a 302 in it and everything matches but i dont know if you want to go that big his is also a 5 speed as is mine hopefully that helped you out some.
