My 1990 Ranger Supercab 4 x 4 Project
The original owner hit his third deer with the truck, and gave up. I bought it from him for a song. It still ran alright, but the front end (fender, hood a grill) was trashed, and had 250,000 miles on the drive train. Then I bought another truck for body parts, and put together the best body parts of both.
ONE week later I blew a head gasket (due to a bad thermostat).
It sat in my driveway for a couple years (because I lost my drivers license).
Quit drinking, got my license back, and put another engine in the truck. Painted the cab white to match the color of the sacrificial truck. And here's the sum of the labor.
Newest picture first.
Oh yeh, I need to mention the interior is MINT on this truck (I will submit pictures soon), the four wheel drive works great, as well as the cruise control, and all the power accessories.
I made it all legal two days ago, took my 16 year old son 4-wheelin today, and had a blast. The truck is a billy-goat, will go anywhere, especially in 4-wheel low.
It was originally burgundy, but I think she looks good in white
Franken-truck, bought another truck just for body parts, and painted my cab white to match.
machined flywheel
Pretty rough shape
Engine is out
