I know this is a little bit belated, but I thought I'd share my recent experience with you. My 93 was sluggish and driveability was pretty poor. I found out my Cat was about half clogged and after changing it I took my intake tubing off and removed the cone of restriction. It will pull out if you do it hard enough. The airway is now as open as a cold air intake would be and I don't have to listen to a lot of noise. All that and a clean air filter and mine feels like it has made a HP gain and driveability is 100% better. Sometimes simple things help.
